Measurement needed

Anyone willing to take two measurements I'm looking for? Having a hard time posting a picture but the link to what I'm looking is:

http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/Diagrams/B0002690.png?v=04302013

Measurement #1 is for part 6: I need the distance between the hole for the bolt (part 7) and the stud that holds the 3-way brake line fitting.

Measurement #2 is for part 8: the distance between the hole for the bolt (again part 7 in the diagram) and the center of the grommet (part 9).

I'm fabricating some brake line holding brackets for when I do my ABSectomy. However, I'm stuck for an extended stay with some relatives with tons of free time and access to tools, but no access to my bike. I need to tinker with something before I go out of my mind.

For the love of God, please help me out

you are going to replace this with two separate ss lines to the master?
if so you can use some audel clamps.

Thanks for the suggestion and I considered these when I saw them at the hardware store but wanted to use stainless steel and difficult finding them - besides making something is a pleasant (and needed) diversion.

I have some 1/8 inch stainless steel rods that I've bent to act as line holders - similar to the one found attached to the passenger foot peg assembly that acts as a guide to the rear brake hose.

These measurements will allow me to make the last bend I need.

oh ok if you must I will wander out to the driveway.
the one with the grommet you want the length it should be to support the new separate
cable? not the diagonal to the grommet center?

I thought the grommet center would nearly be directly over (in line with) the banjo bolt on the caliper - that's what I'm going for. Tough to tell from the diagram.
Thanks!

ok, so, the one with the union is about 1.75, the other with the grommet without the offset is about .800 those would be inches.
if you are using two separate lines you will want to make them both the same longer length or
they will hit the tele lever arm when the steering is at the stops.
the mounting on the lower clamp looks symmetrical so the difference on the original is
only to allow clearance to the tele lever at steering lock on the hose going to the union.

fyi neither is over the banjo bolts on the caliper, each is set outboard.
so you may have some issues with the stiffer stainless lines unless you
have right angle banjos.

Thanks Brent - much appreciated!

I still need to take the measurements for the lines once I get back to the bike. I imagine I'll have to find a way to secure the lines above the telelever as well to make sure things don't rub at full lock.

you won't want to secure them above they must move with the steering and up and down
with the suspension the existing clamps are close to the tele lever
