2008 R1200S Unidentified wiring component

Can anyone tell me what the hell this is. Nowhere for it to go, nothing to plug into it. It is on the wiring that goes to the front right indicator. There isn't one on the left.

Wiring harness made after 8/06. For vehicles with on board computer. It is the connector for ambient air temperature sensor. If you look on Max BMW fiche. R12S. Group 61, various switch and sensors you will see. 2cnts from tjs

That looks like where I plugged in my Power FRK.

I think on the right hand side of the fairing support there is also a plug in for the emission control solenoid.
That is a common part to remove.
