remove front frame

how to remove the crucial nuts off the front frame attached to the engine ? The support bar hinders accessing the nuts. Please find the pictures. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388199248.jpg

Have you tried jacking up the bike so the suspension extends?

I usually remove the lower bolt from the shock and jack up the bike until it clears.
still tight.
retorque them to the correct spec.

Dead right, you have to unload the front suspension. There's a lug boss on the bottom of the front of the engine I believe the BMW factory uses to assemble their bikes. I find if I zip a 7/16" drill through it, my 7/16" bolt on my homemade scissor jack does a fine job of lifting the front if you have enough weight on the rear.

I think it is an 18mm, or something like that, and it is a stud that runs side to side with nuts on each end. It's a tight (not interference but good for a shear fit) with parts of the stud shaft larger to fit tight. I had to tap my out but make sure you unload the subframe.

The second one back for the other 2 mounting points is the pain the ass one to get back in, this one is easy.

Good luck.
