Front end rattle R1200S
I borrowed my R1100S coils and took the R1200S for a spirited ride today. Boy this bike pulls like a bull and flips like a mountain goat. Amazing indeed. Power is all there no more hesitation. However, at low revs I notice some rattling up front. I thought it was low octane fuel knocking but that sound usually is from the pistons rings.
Since I don´t know how this engine should sound I´m wondering if this is normal. The R1100S has some funky noises that seem to be common among all these bikes. So far I have 1850 miles so she´s still in diapers at the stage. ![]()

not really you should spend some time to find it,
can bee loose fairings to anything in the engine, cables will rattle if not routed correctly etc. |

Mine had fairing rattles up front that I only heard with my earplugs out. They weren't metallic or knocking, but a rattle as you describe. I looked closely and couldn't find anything so I put my earplugs back in.
