R1200S Ohlins stock weight springs

I wanted to confirm that the stock Ohlins that come with the R1200S are set for
176lbs with gear. I need to confirm this with Dan Kyle. Seems shocks are ready for me just need new oil.

Rique, as I've been told, the 175lb rider weight is the way they come from the factory. Spring rates on the telelever aren't as important as the paralever. I think they are emulsion filled vice oil.

Great to know. Dan wanted me to confirm because he tells me there is little info on these custom units for the 1200. Good thing is springs donīt need to be touched. I am getting new oil and seals all round..

do a search on R1200S suspension, and contrary to "popular" opinion the front shock is in need of upgrading if you are going to be riding in sport fashion, especially if you have the RT A-arm

HP2S springs
R12S Ohlins Upgrade

From what I've read rider weights above stock specs on the Ohlins drastically affect rebound on the 1200. I guess its not to smart a move for me to have the front modded without giving them a ride first....for now fresh seals and oil.

P.S thanks for the links

Do a search my man, the R12S a-arm swap precipitated the R11S modification.

R1200S a-arm swap
