Friday the 13th Port Dover Ride Canada
Any locals form this board planning this years Friday the 13th Ride taking place in Port Dover in Ontario Canada?

You mean Port Dover ... not Port Colbourne, right? Nevertheless, I expect to be down there to check it out. Look for the black R11S in the sea of Harleys! See you there, Herb... |

Yes Port Dover. There should be about 50 BMW bikes traveling from Budds BMW of Oakville which I am part of. 99 Red (Dog Dic Pink) R11S Thats me! Cheers Tomas

Sorry ... didn't see you there. Didn't see very many R11S's there either, come to think of it. There must be 25,000 motorcycles there today with a very high ratio of Harleys & Harley-clones (95%). Felt a bit like a fish out of water at this event. Actually, I find the cruiser scene so boring that I could barely convince myself to take pictures. I did see a very nice 2000 Ducati MH 900 and took a few shots of this. The guy who owns it doesn't seem to know how to ride it though as the tires looked like they've never seen a corner in anger. Herb, sorry we missed you. Tom, Steve, another mandarin S guy and I were part of the 50 Beemers that rode from Budd's BMW. Swell of them to buy the breakfast. Just leaving the diner, we were riding in a group of 50 when the OPP pulled us all over. Licences and insurance papers everyone. Only ticketed the one Harley driver in the group. What a surreal show. Kind of like a Sturgis-by-the-Lake thing. Seemed like 25,000 scooters by early afternoon. Could have been an addition 10-15,000 more by evening. Everyone getting along fine. Wall to wall bikes and people. Didn't see you in any of the watering holes - local taverns or tents or on the boat. Then again, wasn't that you leaning over that banner on the boat that said "Show Me Your ****"? Naw, must have been a double.

We were parked close to the pier. It's funny how many people were drooling over our Sexy S's!
"Wow..look at that thing" "When did BMW start building Sport Bikes?" "That bike is Georgeous!" Nice to hear as there were many nice machines! Just some of the comments! We heard! Sorry I forgot my Digital Camera. But one of our friends did bring his. Should recieve a email shortly and I will post some pictures for all the members to see Ontario' very own Lil Daytona!
