Hey DSL, got a picture?

I recently got a brand new, I mean looks like it just came from Ilmberger direct. carbon hugger. It came from a 99 model S. I saw where you had to file a little bit to get yours to fit. Was wondering if you had a picture of yours installed, if possible, could you take a couple pix closeup of yours so I can see exactly what it looks like?

I got this one for 150 bucks, so a little fitting work is cool! I was contemplating just drilling out the holes a little bit, but dremmel work may be better....

Firebolter..

Sorry, I'm too low tech and don't have a digi-cam. What I did is remove the brake caliper, loosely fit the rear bolt and then try to line up the front bolt hole visually. It was quickly apparent what was preventing the front hole from lining up well (the forward of the 2 pad casings). I just dremmeled the hugger arm at that contact point til it didn't touch anymore and I could line up the holes. Personally, I wouldn't drill out the hugger's holes any larger... just seems those holes operate with an important part of the bike and I wouldn't want the bolt to risk moving around. Also make sure you find/fit a torx bit (T45?) to a torque wrench so you can properly torque the caliper back if you don't install the hugger and go back to the stock bolts... I believe the hugger bolt is 8mm hex.

Good luck.

Thanks

I have the bolts that comes with the hugger and a 8mm socket. I will get a 45T for the stock bolts. So I will go the dremmel route then. Sounds simple enough. Thanks
