BMW Roadster

I gotta have one!

The aspirations of BMW Motorrad with regard to future generations of boxer-powered roadsters take concrete, emotionally charged shape at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 in the form of the BMW Concept Roadster. "The BMW Concept Roadster shows that as far as BMW is concerned, motorcycling is about far more than just perfect function. This concept bike is a symbol of how modern and emotional a boxer-powered BMW roadster can be," explains Edgar Heinrich, Head of BMW Motorrad Design.

Nice. Unfortunately the concepts get watered down so badly like the R 9 T was. Concept was superb - final product was a yawn.

I'm waiting for this:

I have to agree. The orange R9T was a blast. The production model sucks.

Just as well we don't all like the same woman, or the queue be very long...

That BMW looks just like my friends new KTM 1190, an personally i think it Sucks, the bm that is, now i would buy that Wunderlich concept bike in a heartbeat, also a HP2s if they still made them, and now i find myself lusting for the 9T, Though my add on bits list is rather looooong an expensive to have what i want... Maybe that Im in my mid 50s, an was biking in the 70s when wire wheels an 750 Ducati's an Z1 Kawasaki's were my rides...

That is so 1995 916ish without the stylish integration. So for me to ride something that uncomfortable it better have the natural beauty of an orchid. Well at least no 4-valve service.

Nice pictures RoLoo, It looks best to me in the form of your pics, single Akro exhaust, no rear frame an the hump on, now a bikini fairing maybe like Wunderlich does an a few other bits to finish her off.
Very much in the same category as a Guzzi Grizo, but with the droopy tits an BMW badge...

The concept looks to be doable... The Austin racing GP style exhaust would have to go and a real seat/pillion similar to the S1000R seat would need to be put on. Give it a more conventional LED headlamp and TFT instrument panel. Finally keep it under 460 lbs wet and make sure she has minimum of 130 RWHP...Yep, I'd buy one!!

Hi Rique, where did you get the photos from? More details available? Looks to me that this is a concept based on the new watercooled engine right?

If so the benchmark is the KTM 1290 with its 180 HP engine ...

Eff that looks cool, Just like the R Nine T, let's hope that if they bring a road version it looks remotely similar to the concept.
The welds on the Exhausts look very nice!

I should have said something like "the production version fell short of the promise shown in the concept".

i'm afraid what it'll look like after the slap on the turn signals, taillight, license bracket, rear passenger pegs, gonzo headlight, an exhaust that passes inspection, etc...

kinda the reverse of women...it looks good naked, but let's see what happens when they dress it up.
