2004 R1100S BOXER CUP REPLIKA oil check

2004 R1100S BOXER CUP REPLIKA oil check
The manual states to put the bike on its center stand and check oil level in the bike while " level". Of course there is no center stand.
My "go to" stand is an Abby, wth the support at the swingarm pivot ,so the tail sits high.I imagine a front wheel chock would be better for checking oil level after a short ride...correct?

Thanks !

Drain it out, measure volume, adjust & refill, Perfect amount every time, guaranteed.

Warm it up. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Sit on the seat with both feet on the ground. Hold the bike level with your right hand, reach down with your left hand holding your cell phone camera and take a snapshot of the oil level window. Review, and adjust oil leel as required.
This only works if you are not already too full or too empty, in which case you won't get much info in the little window.

I think your stand will work fine. The key is to warm it up, then put it on the sidestand for a few minutes, then put it on the vertical stand. That makes sure that the oil has drained out of all the nooks and crannies.

Then, put it back on the sidestand and take a look. I think you'll soon realize that if your sight glass is covered (on the sidestand) you're good-to-go. No need to put it on your vertical stand every time.

Thanks Jim!
I ended up placing a 2x4 chunk of lumber under the front tire and it looked pretty level.Checked level and perfect.
Just as you mentioned,on the side stand the sight glass showed as completely covered.
