I'm sure this has been answered 1000 times but
Where is the auxiliary power line on the R1100S. I'm hooking up a power hub. Thanks.

There is a plug under the seat that the factory Powerlet harness plugs into.

If you have the factory DIN 4165 socket, you have a "power line." If you don't, you don't. Hook up your "power hub" to the battery.

Was there any rhyme or reason as to which bikes came with the socket and which didn't? I've never seen anything like this on mine, but there is a round socket just above the footpeg, but it looks more like a diagnostic port to me.

my bcr didn't come with one.
i guess they made up for it by putting those super-duper, double-extra premium, hard to find, impossible to live with...crappy shocks on it.

I'm looking for switched power
I didn't explain well. I'm looking for switched power which will power a relay in the power hub and turn on all of the accessories (GPS, radar detector, etc).
I don't think the powerlet outlet is switched power is it? If I have to, I will just make up a pigtail with connectors and pull power off the headlight wire. i really don't want to do that though. |

The powerlet outlet is not switched. For my switched power I tapped into the running lights instead of the headlight.

You have running lights? Mine doesn't but it's got an outlet.

Thanks
I said head light but I meant make up a pigtail off the taillight.
I'm surprised the bike doesn't even have one switched power auxiliary but I guess it doesn't. |

Good point. I added them but by tapping into the instrument lights. I also have the full Euro light switch.
Position 1-No lights Position 2-instruments, parking light in headlight and four corner running lights are on Position 3-all lights are on
