![]() ![]() ![]() Just purchased, and rode home from other side of Washington State. Bout 315 miles. Needs tuneup and detailing, new rubber next spring . Then I’ll figure out which one to keep. Noticeable power over my 1100s but not nearly as comfy. I’m happy to take any advice from those who have been there, done that. |

The only thing I would add for comfort is the Helibar risers. I see you have a Corbin. Hopefully it works for your butt. I prefer the Corbin over the stock saddle for long rides.
Cheers

Yep, i have a Corbin on my 1100s , great improvement over stock , or Sargent,..however, i may be short in the tool kit department. Could one or more of you fine 1200s owners post a picture of your R1200s tool kit as mounted under the seat? My R1100s has the most complete stock tool kit of any of the previous bikes ive ever owned.

Mine came with spanners for the ohlins and a little triangle wrench for the oil filler. Mine wasn't new but damn close and the PO barely touched it. From what I remember reading here there was no tool kit. Hopefully someone who did purchase brand new can confirm.

Same with me, I didn't buy new but almost new, there was a pathetic ,cheap little plastic pouch with a reverseble screw driver and some dedicated shock absorber adjustment tools.
Compared to my 1100's floating double sided tool tray with just about everything and a tire plug kit with compressed air cylinders under the seat..no comparison |

This is the Oem kit RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog
The wrench (No.7) is particularly useful for rear strut height adjustment. I complemented it with a better Ohlins pre-load C-wrench from a local Ohlins agent.
