Valve Clearance Increase
Seems someone lamented that no technical questions came up any more... Here goes.
Outside of me screwing up, what would cause an increase in valve clearance on the scale of .020 in? I would think like the airheads they would go tight more so than lose more than a .001in for wear in a 6,000 maintenance cycle. I am hoping this and a TB sync will go a long way to helping my running rich issue and crappy idle as well as the sneezing it does from time to time. As always Thank You! ![]() |

You're saying it loosened 20 thousandths of an inch? That ain't right. Loose locknut maybe?
