Booster Plug
Hello,
Has anyone used the Booster Plug? Thinking about buying one. |

Yes previous owner put a full laser system on my R12S before I got it. I had what seemed to me a little surging in the throttle. Maybe in my mind but the booster plug made this much less noticeable to me. FYI I also put one on a brand new K1600GT that I put a full remus system on as well. This was from suggestions from other forums. But I didn't even ride it before they put the new exhaust on it. I hated the stock exhaust on the 1600. Hmmmm for that matter, I don't like the stock exhaust on many BMWs. I have three currently and all three have after market. Just for the look mainly.....
Good luck, my advice is that it should make things better. Also it a few minute job to remove it should you decide to.

At this point in time, there have been a lot of measurements and discussion about whether the effect of air temp shifting is permanent, which it is not (unless your O2 sensor is disconnected). Your ECU measures the exhaust during closed loop operation and creates long term trims (corrections) that it applies to the whole fuel map.
Although it's about another model, the principles apply. Here is a lively discussion: F800GS AF-XIED | Page 28 | Adventure Rider. If you want to permanently add fuel, use an Innovate LC-2 or a plug 'n play AF-XIED. Last edited by Roger 04 RT; 05-21-2016 at 02:14 AM.. |

Yes, my bike has all the symptoms. Surging, and popping from my Ztechnik exhaust system. A simple improvement is just what I need. Thank you for your advice!

You'll be much happier with this for only a little more money: Af-xied.
It's only a little more work to install and its affect does not get "learned" away as happens with the BP. |

I'll second Roger on this one. I have done only few mods on my BCR, the left timing chain tensioner (improve reliability) and the Af-xied (performance). Made a world of difference, plus its a completely reversible mod. The fact that my mechanic's son went out and got one for his bike after seeing it on my bike and riding it, speaks volumes of the effectiveness of the upgrade. |
