2003 R1100S Randy Mamola BCR Exhaust options.

Looking for advice / experiences / facts etc. On the best exhaust option for my 2003 Randy Mamola BCR.
Currently the bike has twin Laser cans fitted to a single pipe with no cat etc. Bike has one of Johns chips fitted and an after market filter with alloy mounting plate (forgotten the make!).
Plan is to fit a Lennies Induction tube to the current set up.

So my question is this - I have the chance of a full Remus exhaust system with twin pipes to the two silencers. Is this system worth the additional expense in terms of performance? Is there anything to be gained performance wise in changing from the Laser system to the Remus? Anyone got a Remus system fitted who can offer their thoughts, guidance etc?

Bob

I can't help with performance comparisons, but I will say my cat-less, two pipe Remus is louder than I'd prefer. OK with baffles but tuned without so I don't use them. I like sound of the Lasers better, and I'd bet you wouldn't notice much difference in grunt.

Never understood the logic of taking an over weight stock system off and replacing with an over weight aftermarket version, what you want is a Z-Technik but no idea where you would get one they stopped making them a while back.

I'll second terrym's assessment on the Remus and the Laser.

The racing Laser was a 2-1-2 pipe, but instead of having one pipe going to one silencer with the little cutout pipe going to the other like the one you have, the racing model changed to two pipes just about where your left heel was positioned. Not likely you'll find one of these any time soon.

Laser v Remus exhaust

Thanks for the replies. Have seen a Remus 2-2 pipe for sale and have been offered a mint Remus system as well recently so I have the option to change if it's worthwhile. The general consensus would be the Laser system is louder, stops access to the lower rear shock bolt and that's about it (?)
