Going back to 75W90

I have decided to go back to 75W90 from Shock Proof Heavy in my 1100 Tranny. The reason is, in my 1200 the tranny feels so smooth with 75W90... Anybody else go back too?

Yes, after all the seals in the trans and FD leaked pink goo and were replaced, I went back to 75W90.

So did I. Aside from other issues, the need to squeeze it out of the bottle is just not right.

I've never used Redline Shockproof in any of my BMW's, regardless of the enthusiasm by some here. I try and keep them just stock, clear and clean.

I do use Redline Shockproof in my Harley-Davidson however. Seems more appropriate there for whatever reason...

No particular reason, just couldn't see putting that pink stuff into them.

I just made to switch to pink. I was skeptical but thought it worth the extra $8 to give it a try. Does it change the tractor transmission to a Japanese UJM snick, snick, snick? NO! Does it help? By the sound and feel I would say the $8 extra is worth it for the tyranny. Run dino 75/90 in the FD.

Yep, went back myself. I was initially super happy with the smooth gear changes, but then it didn't last.

Manly? Pink is the new purple! In all seriousness, I really like the heavy...they make a light shickproof which is great as well and it's not like pouring yogurt.
