Stupid question, socket location???

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question, but I am just unable to find a definitive answer. Here's my situation...I owe a near mint condition 2004 R1100S that is stored in Germany. I have not ridden the bike since 2011 and then it was only for a brief ride in US before I shipped it over to Germany. I've had several friends that have ridden the bike in the EU but I've not been on the bike.

I'm heading over in two weeks and will pick up to bike to ride some time in Italy and then attend INTERMOT. Past experience has proven that I will most likely experience less than perfect weather. At this time of year, I anticipate it may get quite chilly in the Alps if it is raining, so I'm bringing my heated jacket.

Here's my question, since I am not familiar with this bike, and I do not have the ability to walk out into the garage and inspect it myself, is there an OEM power socket? I do not remember? I have a socket power adapter for the jacket, but I just do not want to go over and be unprepared should the bike not have an outlet. Optimally, I would connect power directly to the battery, but I would much like to avoid having to to pull the entire bodywork and tank to access the battery.

Attached is a pic of the bike before I shipped it over. , I can see there is a small black covering that looks like an outlet, but if memory serves this is actually to jump start the bike in the event of a dead battery? Any clarification is appreciated.

Thanks in advance for replying. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1474208937.jpg

they can have them they are by the top of the shock mount on the sub frame. I dont see one in the photo, the wire is in the harness you just need to take the socket and bracket
easy to put in.
the black thing on the starter is just for jumping the bike,
probably a new battery and tires would be good.

Thanks much for the comments. Upon closer enlargement of my pics, I see that there is one in the exact spot, left side, in front of rear shock.

Also the bike had an oil change and new battery two years ago, about 1,500 miles. (a friend rode it). I just had new Pilot Road 4's and and new Ohlins' put on for my trip. Can't wait to actually spend some time on this beauty!!

Thanks again for the reply and suggestions.

Must be an old image.. i see a bit of dust and dirt on the tires. needs some detailing. Also I sent you a center plug with a BMW Logo on it for that rear wheel.. how about installing it?
