That's a great price considering all the goodies that Brad had on it.

Pretty darned good deal for Brad's bike, but unfortunately I'm hanging up my helmet and riding gear. My bike will be on the market next month. Interesting that the bike is located in my old stomping grounds of Minden, NV.

...if I remember right the carbon wheels cost over $3K alone.
Brad said they made the bike turn extremely quick...

Not great circumstances for the bike coming up for sale but a wonderful piece of kit for some lucky person with the parts that are on it takes the 1100s to another level all together.

Ralf, why don't you just buy it? It suits you.
And it's money to a good cause.

I would guess Scott doesn't ride for I can't see him selling it otherwise. Besides we all know he rode the snot out of it way beyond us mortals.

Sure do miss his insights & words here.

Hope you're hanging where the road never ends & the tank never goes empty Brad.

To try and give a polite heads-up and perspective to Fast Freddy 944 and R1100S-Slick since they posted here into this thread and may not understand who Brad Z was.

BradZ, also formally known as Brad Zimmerman, was a long time Pelican Parts R1100S forum member and major contributor to this board. Brad passed away unexpectedly on June 19 of last year and is sorely missed by this small community here. Everyone here loved him. It was a total surprise and shock to us all. He was not only one of our leaders (if there is such a thing here), but a well recognized member of the worldwide motorcycling community.

Here is his obituary from Motorcyclist Magazine:
RIP Brad Zimmerman | MOTORCYCLIST

And the memorial thread here:
Rest in peace Brad Zimmerman

So this motorcycle isn't just any motorcycle, or any BMW R1100S for that matter. It was his, and his pride and joy. It doesn't need to be compared to any other bike in this particular thread. This is put here by Rapid Dog to help Brad's brother sell the bike. And, this bike has a lot of things going for it that unless you are an R1100S aficionado, you may not even understand.

This thread wasn't created to sell a general purpose motorcycle, or a common bike. We have a board for that. This thread was started by Rapid Dog to let us know that Scott Zimmerman, Brad's brother, now has his bike up for sale as he liquidates his estate.

A great machine and owned by a caring well thought of rider. If I were able I'd purchase. I agree the posting of the Harley custom is inappropriate...and disrespectful considering the circumstances.

I think Sergio needs to snag this. I don't think my wife would allow another one to come home with me...

I actually have no room in my garage. The only logical thing to do is to buy a house with a bigger garage I suppose.

Tried to talk Cyndy into getting rid of hers and buying Bradz.

She's not agreeable to that. At least not so far, anyway.

I called Brad's brother... seems like I'll be making room in my garage later this week.
