There isn't a bike in the world that doesn't feel better with a quality, properly tuned aftermarket shock. I actually search Ohlins on craigslist fairly regularly.

I think mine probably bottomed too, but I just avoided hitting hard stuff.

I did reshape my seat - agree with you on that one.
