trike conversion

I can't manage the weight of the ol' girl anymore and resale is a pittance of her value. So I'm wondering if a trike conversion would be worth effort.

Anyone here ever heard of an R11 converting to trikism?

Perhaps you'll be the first?

I bought aftermarket shocks (second hand) unknowingly that they were 1" drop.
They make my S feel like a middleweight bike.

see if these guys can make something for you

https://www.tiltingmotorworks.com/

I mean hell, if you're gonna do a trike, might as well still be able to lean

(I do not endorse or recommend tiltiingmotorworks.com, nor do I represent them in anyway)

problem is the ol' girl is 18 years old and while mechanically perfect she looks her age. I've had offers as low as $1500.

Well, you could part it out for more than $1500, the downside of liking older bikes. Not saying I would, but if you do can I buy the rear fender?

Hang in there!

Aw man, yer breakin' my heart a little here, with this talk of trike conversion. Enough Ss get taken out of the gene pool by accidents and parting out due to the rare engine or tranny blowup. Seems a shame to Frankensteinify one of them.
Lower your seat/shocks or spiff up its cosmetics over the Winter and get $2500 for it in the Spring. Downpayment for a Can Am or a Rascal.
