I tried an R12000RT for a few years but have settled on this. Great power and surprisingly good handling. I considered a R1200RS, but I doubt my knees would be as happy as on the GT. No plans to quit riding, but I'm beginning to accept that this may be my last bike.

The photo from this angle is misleading. The dry bag only takes up the pillion space. I have room to spare. Besides I am not a large guy!

..perfect set-up. I use to pack my airhead the same way, makes for a nice backrest. I even had an Eclipse tankbag.

I've been into bmw k bikes since around 1990. Have had 5 since then. Currently ride a black 2013s. The k is the perfect bike for road touring and turns well enough to run on the track. At 175 horsepower it is as powerful as I care for. And it fits like a glove. If you have never tried a k I highly recommend it. Sensational bike.

Had my 1100 since new, 2003. My buddy passed on, left me his 1150rt. I am riding both, BUT, the iABS on my 1100 has failed twice. Telling me something?.....

I have yet to outgrow my 1100S. It is the newest Beemer I own. I tour occasionally on the K75S featured here. They are inexpensive to purchase and the cost of ownership is low.

Sold my S to Bill 2.0 after Falling Leaf rally of '14 and purchased a new KTM 690 Duke. It only weighs 350 lbs.
Rode the Duke to TOR last July. Not like touring on the S but I survived just fine.

BTW Keith Thanks again for letting me ride that Duke home from the Falling leaf rally and hauling my S when my coil wire failed. Hope you are doing well.

Do I dare say it.......2018 Guzzi Eldorado 1400.......bought my s 15 years ago, my body has changed slightly from 45 to 60...... don't know if I could tour on a cruiser or not......might have to test drive one soon.

+1 Pretty easy to buy one, ride it a couple of years and resell it for same $. That K75S above looks exactly like my old one, down to the Laminar Lip, rack and convex spot mirror thingies.
