OEM?

Chinese OEM?

Horrible Chinese knock off? That's the worry.

Mahle makes good stuff. I'd put one in mine.

I've been using that filter for several years. No issues.

Mahle is an OEM supplier of filters to BMW. Have also been using them for a couple of years.

Looks legit, but you could always buy one and compare to one from a dealer. A counterfeit should be obvious.

I do not know the MAHLE filter. But I can recommend the HIFLO filters. They costs about 18$

I've used K&N in the R12S for sometime now.

I've even cleaned it once.

Bike still works.

PS oh and the R11s too, its been so long since my K1 ran that I've forgotten what is in it - mice probably.

Mahle used to be German made, not sure where they are made now, but very good quality. I've used their oil filters with no problems.
