...well, I just registered.

So, no stopping me anymore... just slowing down... 'specially when getting out of the tent.

But then what do I know.

I just had an encounter with Rick's Africa Twin at the Village Market.... I thought it was him, but no, some other guy from Washington... Same exact colors and piled high with camping gear... Because you want to camp in Moab when it's 105 f....

I jut realized those gold wheels are like the wheels on my Schwinn Home Grown mountain bike. It's old now but when shiny and new people would comment on them...

My R11S has Rapid Dog bar backs and a Suburban machinery footpeg lowering kit. It also sports a Corbin seat. It is quite comfortable for touring, but I have asked myself if I am attempting to turn it into an RT, well maybe so. Still, I like the mods.

Take the S! Very few will be on S models, but there will be a million GS's!

Unless you want to do some of the great dirt roads in Colorado!

Cheers

Like the Afreeka Twin.
I had one for about two weeks. Nice.

So how was it? The only photos I've seen were on ADV. In the sidecar forum.

It was a little warm out there, low 90ís in town but better than the 112 degrees I missed at home. I tried to stay out riding during the day higher up where it was nice and cool. Rally is very nice and well organized. I rode my GS but I did see about 3 1100s bikes there, one with my same Mandarine and Grey color too. Lots of very nice people there. I recommend it.

Oil leak on the Africa Twin solved. Ralf's muffler coming off the header pipe solved. Broken windshield arm on the AT being solved at the dealer. Sever fork stiction on the AT is unresolved. Ralf's soft rear sprocket got resolved in CA.

We had a few problems this year but none stopped us so I guess it was better than a stator or fuel pump going bad. Love the AT after 6,000 miles and hope next year will be better with the bugs worked out.

I will do a TOR and back report but it might be a while before I get to it.
