lap timer on my S1000RR going crazy
Lap Timer on my RR with a "mind of its own"
Postby buttMD on Tue Apr 30, 2013 1:00 am I have a 2012 RR with 5K miles - The bike was a demo with about 2K on it when I got it in January. From the beginning, seemingly on its own, the lap counter will begin advancing in the upper left corner of the "road" display. It seems to be spontaneous and random, but always comes on within a minute or two of heading out-I have read and re-read the manual and I can't seem to find the "off" command prompts. Is there a way to turn off my lap timer altogether? It's headed in for service in a couple of weeks, but I would like to shut it off today!! Thanks for the help |
I recently noticed that if I stay in low RPMs through the gears (who does that, right?) the lap timer seems to stay off-but the first time I rev it up the timer (lap number, not the seconds) begins to advance in the upper left corner of the display.
