M3 front rotors?
Looks like I warped my front rotors at my first de with the e36 m3. Any suggestions for rotors and what brake pads would be beter then stock. My car is on toyo r888. It feels like my rotors picked up melted brake pad material. But later I think they warped from the material or dirt or sand got in there and caused the warping. Had plenty of pad left but just wonder if stock pads aren't up to the abuse.

Sorry, I don't check this forum often.
The Euro M3 rotors are better but the premium is too high. I think they run over $100 each. Rotors are not your issue. I run stock rotors on track all the time. I suggest getting a new set of rotors to run with your street pads and keep the current "warped" rotors to run on track days with a track pad. Get a deep throat micrometer to keep track of the remaining life of your rotors. Stock pads are definitely not capable of track day abuse once you have a couple of days experience. They certainly wont handle a Toyo 888. Get new pads: Hawk HPS (great street, ok track, not aggressive enough for race tires) EBC Yellow (ok Street, good track, you can daily drive them) Hawk HP+ (bad street, good track, noisy) EBC Blue (bad street, very good track, drive them carefully on the street) I would get EBC Yellow or Hawk HP+.

Wrapped rotors
Boy driving a track day with warped rotors is the worst. I can not imagine heading to the track knowing I had a set of warpped rotors for the weekend to decrease my braking efficiency and increase my learning curve. I went through the same battle with stock M3 rotors and tried various pads. I did find that the value of the BMW Motosports Rotors was well worth the $320. Running warped rotors is very hard on the suspension components and will decrease the life of the entire front suspension which can cost lots of money. Plus it 's not fun. The BMW Motorsports rotors also dissipate heat much better which increases BMW's greatest attribute which is their braking capabilities and decreases pad wear - which saves money. I used Hawk blues until the Hawk Rep explained that the technology was 25 years old and "loaned" me a set of DTC 70 matched to HT 10s awesome. And in the rain DTC70 up front and blues in the rear. (not good in the dry) The BMW MS Rotors last an entire season and no warping. Just remember to leave the e brake down all week end and after you come into the pits push the car a quarter tire rotation every few minutes so that the calipers sit on different spots on the rotors during cool down phase.
