Window reset

Had to change the battery in my 2010 X5 Xdrive SUV the other day. The passenger window now doesn't want to close. As it comes to the top of the range it continues past the stop and travels back down to the bottom. I have tried to reset the window by first erasing the programmed points. I followed a series of steps posted on another forum but didn't have any luck with the window. The biggest issue is the window cannot be stopped at the top of its run, so when you are suppose to hold the window in place and keep the window switch held on the top setting for a few seconds, as it will hit that point and then automatically travel back down to the lowest setting. Thanks
