Tapping sound from cyn 6
I have a 2000 z3 2.8 with 138k miles. I have replaced all the hydraulic lifters and still there
When cold noise is very minimum but as the engine warms up it gets worse. Did a compression test and cylinder 6 is at 160 and the rest run from 210 to 240. Occasionally I will get a code cylinder 6 misfire but no roughness on the engine is felt. Any thoughts Thanks Larry |

Well, sounds like you pined it down to Cyl 6. Bent valve, broken spring?
