2009 Z4 roadster reviews? Am considering a purchase

Looking at a 2009 Z4S 35I roadster which just came off lease with 35k miles.
As a BMW dealer is not close, I am concerned about the reliability factor and or any other issues the car might have in the future. Anyone out there who can give me a performance report? Much appreciated.

Bear in mind that Z-series cars are always based on 3-series hardware. There will be no problem with the E89 Z4 that doesn't happen with the E93 3-series and its siblings, and there will be lots more data about those.

2 months ago I bought a Alpine White 2009 Z4. So far I've found there are some interesting situations this model is unique to. I bought the 3.0i model, and found the Sirius Radio is not installed, and will take considerable modification to install either a BMW or after market. Plus, there is very little documentation on the 2009 to 2017. It's a dream to drive.

I've now owned the 2009 BMW E89 Z4 Roadster, since April 2018. The car has not given me one serious problem. I wore out the original set of Run Flats that came on the car. I've kept up with all the normal maintenance, changed all the fluids. Changed those salmon relays on the top, gave all the rubber seals a Gummi Pflege treatment, gave a shot of oil into all the top hinges. Did have to change the oil filter housing seals once, and changed the serpentine belt due to oil drops from the oil filter seal. The car still runs strong day in and out. I get complements almost daily, it's a beautiful machine, in Alpine White.

Good to hear. I've often thought about a Z4 M Roadster, having had the coupe last time.
