z3 rear end noise
 

I am a new z3 owner, its a 2000 2.8 auto tran. It seems to make more gear meshing sounds then it should especially when going slow like in a parking lot is this sound nomal for this car?

May be time to drain & replace the fluid & filter. Trans is GM Hydramatic that uses Dexron III. Should do same for differential. I use Amsoil synthetic products because they stop most noise. Good Luck! - Marvin

Im confused, is this noise from the tranny or rear end?
