Anyone have Directions on How to reset the Oil service lite on the Dash?
Im wondering if anyone knows how to reset the oil service lights on the dash of my 1996 Z3?

There is a special tool that you use on the round connector that is under your hood. I'm sure you do not have one of these handy, but you can also jump two of the pins on the connector. I would tell you the pin numbers, but I really don't want to be responsible for anyone letting the smoke out of their cars. But now that you know I'm sure you can find a more reliable source than my memory.

Get the reset tool...It is worth it.....
I bought a Peake R5/fcx (for engine codes & sevice light resets) and love it.....(I also have their airbag one also) and they are the best tools in my tool box.....The engine code tool also lets you see erros stored inside your cars "brain". I found 2 error codes I didn't even know were wrong.... BTW our host has a great price.... (I know this post is older but I just got my M roadster and started reading this forum....) Chris
