Anyone had success with wheel repair?
I bought a '99 M Coupe November of last year. To say I love the car is a gross understatement.
A previous owner hit the curb and damaged a couple of the wheels. Mostly cosmetic as they balance fine. I've had the car up to 125 MPH a few times with no noticeable vibration. I see ads for wheel repair and I want to know if anyone has had success with this. It will be a bummer to take the wheels off and send them in for repair and have the car sit while this takes place. I would consider it if I was confident of success. Thanks. |

Several people on the Porsche boards have posted about successful wheel repairs. I've never had it done myself, though my 3-series could use it due to some curb scuffs from rushed parking.

There is a company near us called RIMPRO. I'm not sure if they're franchised but they've fixed & refinished alot of BMW rims for us. They do great work & yes they are actually straight afterwards!

Wheel Repair
Try www.mobilewheelrepair.com to see if they have someone in your area. They come to you. Fixed a badly scuffed wheel on my Z3 for a $100. Did a great job.
