Z3 Coupe?
Which model Z3 Coupe has the wider rear fenders and larger rear wheels? I have only seen a couple of these and would like to learn more about them?

All Z3 Coupes had the same fenders. They're all the same body with a few trim variations (i.e. front bumper, side gills, rear bumper, rear hatch trim). They're very striking cars compared to the rest of the BMW line-up, and when some people see one they have a wild impression. That's what makes them so damn cool.
However, if you're pretty familiar with Z3/M Coupes, then you probably saw an M which has a slightly narrower rear subframe and deeper dish wheels with different offset to make up for the difference. Also, many owners upgrade the suspensions on their cars because they came a little lacking from the factory, and in the process decide to go adjustable. You might have seen a lower one, done right, which exaggerates the Z3 Coupes proportions even more. Michael |
