Proxy Newbie

My friend just got a 2001 MCoupe. Yes I am jealous.

He has since slid out on black ice and ruined 2(one front, one rear), maybe 3 (other front) wheels.

I know he needs 5x120 bolt pattern

He had stock wheels on.

What are his options for stock size wheels, not nessicarilly oem?
How wide over oem can he go?
Links to affordable options?

Sorry for the Newbie questions, I am usually over in the Porsche area.

Thanks for your help/suggestions!

Not many Z guys here.

Go to BimmerForums into the tire forum, TireRack is the sponsor, and I think the official guy who trolls the forum for TireRack knows all the BMW stuff. Of course, I'm sure that is a common question so it is probably answered already in the forum.

I have stock Z4 rims on my 330i. I have the offsets at my office but I think they are about 30-ish mm F and 51 mm rear.

I have a customer who runs 19" bayern mesh wheels on his, they look pretty nice on his car as well. I think they are availavble from discount tire direct. I believe that they are priced pretty well.
