z3 dual mass flywheel ??
I have a z3 that came into the shop late this week for a clutch job. I have not driven the car yet, but from the customers descripstion of the problem , it sounds as if in may be more than just a clutch. What are typical symptoms of dual mass flywheel failures?,do they suffer the same woes as a porsche 964?? I will be pulling the tranny on monday, and wanted to know if there is something that I should be looking for. He did complain of a shudder when letting the clutch out. I am assuming that a dual mass fw cannot be machined.
This will be the first time I have done any service work on this system, so any good advice will be appreciated. Thanks for your help Fred
