how to enable drl?

hi, i just bought a us 2005 z4 and i need to turn on the drl, is there any trick or bypass, or part to buy to enable them?

i try to avoid going to the dealer and pay for it

I don't think there's any way around this; you have to buy a plug-in module from BMW to turn them on, and guess who has to plug this module in? I've heard some guys say you can turn them on through the computer... if you know what to do!

I imported a 99 540i into Canada several years ago. A quick trip to the dealer to hook up to their computer was all that was required to activate the DRL. As it was already there for some overlooked re-call work, it was a very inexpensive proposition.

Don't know if you're still looking for assistance.
I just bought a 2006 Z4 and with the lights in auto and I push the fog light button, I get DRL and the front parking light and fog lights. It stays like this until the car is started again.
