Fan noise

Hi All

I recently bought a 99 z3. The only thing that irritates me is the access wind noise from the air fan. Can i replace the fan blade ore maybe replace it with a electrical fan

Are we're talking about the engine cooling fan mounted on the end of the water pump? If so, it should only engage at idle. Once engine RPM increases, the fan clutch to which the fan blade is attached should slip & any fan noise should disappear. If the fan just spools up w/ engine RPM as you drive away, then the fan clutch may be faulty as it is engaged all the time.

Good Luck!

Schneller
