97 Z3 2.8 a/c

hello list, I have a 97 Z3 with 2.8. Are there any proven a/c upgrades? I live in Phoenix, and the previous owner mentioned I might not be satisfied with the a/c performance

Thanks in advance
Charlie

I don't know if the '97 a/c is the same as the '99 [2.5L sp5]... but we live in Redding, with 115F summers, and find the a/c can turn the interior into an icebox [have also found this to be the case for our summer trips to the SW, inc PHX]. You might try it before you bother with trying to modify it.
