97 Z3 condenser fan not working

what are the steps to test the condenser fan? I'd appreciate any help from someone who has done it.

Thanks in advance

If its like any other car it is a 12volt motor. when the AC is turned on the fan should be operating. If you have a volt meter, disconnect the 2 wires to the fan, one is power the other is ground, when the AC is turned on you should see 12 volts being fed to the motor. If you have 12 v. going to the motor it should operate unless the motor is bad. You can also take a 12v. source and feed it directly to the fan to see if it operates. Typically there is a fan relay that closes with the AC on sending power to the fan.
