DME Plausibility idle speed (leakage air) code
 

The service engine soon light came on in my 2001 Z3 Coupe. I've only had this car a few months, it only has 54K miles. It continues to run fine - but if I clear the code, it returns within a few miles of driving. In multiple web searches, I can't find any meaningful info regarding what this code indicates. The only other thing I noticed that seems odd - is when I turn the ignition key on (just to read the codes when the engine is stone cold), the cooling fan that sits in front of the radiator turns on and stays on. This seems abnormal to me given the engine temp. Do you think these issues are related? What does the code indicate? Thanks.
