A collaboration between Toyota and BMW, the drivetrain and electronics will all be 100% BMW. The chassis, suspension and braking components will be a BMW and Toyota collaboration. Do we see similarities in this design with the Toyota Supra Concept? Costs are said to be in the same range as the current Z4 and we should see a revised 2.0L 4-cylinder instead of the inline six. Automatic and manual transmissions should be available.

Will there be a coupe? The rumor is no. According to sources BMW has agreed to cede the small coupe model if Toyota cedes the convertible – meaning the two won’t technically compete with each other. Of course for BMW enthusiasts this is unfortunate as the two times BMW create coupes from the Z line of cars they were spectacular.
