2004 Z4 convertible top issues
The motor whirls for a few seconds, but nothing happens. It was working fine.
Also, the hydraulic bypass cable is broken, so I can't move it manually. When I lifted the cover manually, it only move a few inches, but now the motor doesn't whirl anymore. I've watched a bunch of youtube videos, but haven't found the help I need. Does anyone have suggestions? 1st - how can I reconnect the manual hydraulic bypass cable (located in the trunk)?

Take a look at the link below to a DIY tech article on the Z4 convertible top - it may help you troubleshoot the issue.

That is a great resource, thank you. It's this cable that is broken.
