Boxster BCM

I have the unexpected pleasure of my car flooding from the rain. Typical blocked drains. This is the issue I'm having. Obviously the BCM got wet and I'm having the normal electrical issues now. Today I got it to start and it ran horribly. Does the BCM have anything to do with it running badly? I thought it was just the electronics for the inside of the vehicle. I'm wondering if I have another issue now. Any ever seen this caused from a wet BCM?
