Porsche Crest "New Car, New Life" and soooo Happy!

New to the forum and finally a "Real" Porsche owner (previously had a 914 that I had restored, but a type 4 motor is still a VW)! After 28 years in educational administration I recently retired and am starting my own business. My reward after 28 years was this 2000 Boxster S with 16,000 miles on the clock. I purchased her from the 3rd owner and have most of the maintenance records (mainly regular oil changes and fluid exchanges) for $15k. Knowing the IMS and low mileage relationships, I had our local Porsche shop do a thorough PPI and oil analysis and was given a clean bill of health. Will do the IMS upgrade when then clutch is replaced. The guy I purchased it from bought in 2003 w/6k and then drove it 10,000 mi in 13 years....that mistake will not be repeated. Came with 12 year old Yoks that were as hard as they were loud, so I just put Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's on her and OMG it really sticks. Thanks to all of you who helped make my search that much easier and here's to Happy Trails!

A great looking car! Looks close to the color of my 914 many, many years ago. Enjoy!

A 2000 should likely have a double row IMS. You should be fine most likely.
Double rows have a less than 1% failure rate.

I am located in Modesto, and guess I am in the Sierra region...like it matters though - any excuse for a nice cruise. Haven't joined PCA, but that's on the list.
