Service due alert/turn off!!

I am pretty sure somebody must have covered this but I am not yet able to find it. I have an 07 Cayman and I do all the maintenance on it...so far. The 40,000 mile service due alert is on the tach. How does a person turn this off, reset the system? I am 200 miles away from a Porsche dealer/mechanic so hope to avoid that.

You need a Porsche specific scan tool like the Durametric system to do it.
