R & R Crankcase Vent Elbow

Anyone out there ever replaced the Crankcase Vent Elbow (98 base) ?
It's located at the top left front corner of the engine. Just wondering if the best course is from the top, underneath or from the front of the engine. Thanks

Did it myself, less then 30 minutes including taking the covers off, replacing and putting it all back together.

Thanks, that is good to know. That is going to be one of my first tasks when she comes out of storage in the spring. I have taken a look in that area and could not recognize the components probably due to crud build up. Just wondering if it's practical to gunk and rinse from above before tackling the job.
