Strange electrical/radio issue

We have a 2006 Boxster S, with the 3.2 engine in NZ. When we purchased it just recently, there was an issue with the factory stereo turning off while driving. This was diagnosed by Porsche technicians in the service history dating back four years, but there was still the issue going on with the previous owner. The solution from him was to stop the car, turn the key off, take it out, open the door, close the door and key in, start again and it would be fine, for a while. So we put in a new ALPINE ILX-702d, with apple play, phone connectivity etc etc with all of the fibre optic wiring, reversing camera and other correct harnesses. We have sub-woofers and tweaters with a 100 watt amp in the unit behind the seats and speakers in the doors and tweaters on top of the dash. 10 in total. We are still using the original bose speakers and amp in the front boot.

Trouble is, the issue remains. The unit is wired to come on when the key is installed. every-time the screen lights up with ALPINE. Sometimes you get sound and sometimes you don't. Also if you are sitting in the car with the engine off, the stereo will be on and after a few mins, it just turns off. But in this scenario, some-times it will stay on for a good period of time. But, now when driving, if it's on and you have sound it stays on for the journey.

Any idea's or has this happened to someone else and if so, do you have a solution or plan of attack?
