Transmission help

All,
I don't normally hang out in this forum, but I have an issue with a 2006 Cayman S transmission. To make a long story short, I put it in my 73 914-6 conversion behind my built 4.0L 964 motor. The reason I am posting this is I was driving it the other day and I went to shift from 3rd to 4th, and got neutral. After that, I had a whole box of neutrals. No gears at all. No warning either.

Has anyone heard of this? If so, what are the most likely causes? I checked the shift cables, and they are moving the input shaft on the transmission, so something happened inside.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
