tiptronic
Hi all, does anybody know if a 986 3.2S tiptronic gearbox (A8620) fits straight into a 2005 987 3.2S (A8720) ?
Mine is starting to slip in 4th and 5th and looking to change the box for good used but struggling to find a 2005 Any advice welcome Regards Paul |

Had this happen on my 2000 996 C4 Tip... changed the diff and flushed the trans fluid and it helped for a bit. Might give you time to find the correct box for your car.

I would check with itsanova (on the forums) or 20th Street Auto in Phoenix, either can probably tell you. I would suspect that "no" is the answer. Tiptronics can be repaired, you know. I have a nephew who fixes the ones for Audis, he's in Reno. If mine needed fixin', I'd be checking out indie shops for suggestions---my fav. local would know who does it near my home base.
