99 Boxster "surges" shifting up

Hey guys- This recently started doing this. Tiptronic trans, the revs surge about 1000 rpm's when hitting upshift in manual mode. Not so bad if you shift at a low rpm, but if you rev it past 3000 over or so, it does this. Any thoughts on what to look at? Downshifts normal and runs fine otherwise.

Hello - I've read about a few cases like this and the causes ranged from a vacuum leak fix to needing a new torque converter to replacing the whole transmission.

Whoa!! Let's hope it's a vacuum leak! Car has 76k miles so I am hoping the trans is not broke. Where have you found info on this? I've done some searching and haven't found much of anything
