2001 Boxster passenger window not dropping

My 2001 Boxster passenger side door window is not dropping using either inside or outside door handle. Window drop when opening or closing convertible top works fine. Window operates fine using the console switch. I have replaced the window drop microswitch and it still doesn't drop. What is the next thing to go after, regulator or door lock mechanism? I have no reason to suspect the regulator and know there are microswitches built into the door lock. Help, please!

You need to look at it with a scan tool that can show you if the car is recognizing the activation of the latch or the handle switch.

Jeff, thanks for your response. Unfortunately I have no access to a scan tool. Any other tests or suggestions?
Thanks, Warren

FYI, the problem turned out to be the door lock mechanism.

I have the same problem ,but with drivers window. Power window switch on console works fine . Window doesn’t drop 1/4 inche so door can be opened or closed. Should I replace the window drop down micro switch first before changing lock mech?
