Ims replacement
I'm replacing the ims on my 2000 boxster. Any suggestions beyond the various how to do articles. Did anyone run into any stumbling blocks or issues that I should be aware of.

Download the LN retrofit instructions, and follow them to the letter; you should have no issues. Take some short cuts and all bets are off.............

Purchase their tools. I thought about making my own removal and install tools but for a few hundred dollars extra it was worth the simplicity and now I have them for future use

Re the LN tools, see if you can rent them from someone. There are many sets out there and there has to be a market given a deposit and return of some of the deposit on return.
The LN advantage is instructions, tools and parts are all well proven and there are lots of folks who have used the trio so there are online folks who can help you. |

Thank you for the replies. Tomorrow will start the ordering process and set her up and remove the trans. Besides the ims and tools, will be ordering, flywheel bolts, clutch bolts, Tensioner sealing rings, gasket for the exhaust, making sure cam plugs are in the picture. Will check, but will probably replace the rms and deal with the tool. Oh, not replacing the clutch, but will need the alignment tool also. I thing thats it barring the unknown.
